Lebanon: Request to Consider Departure by Commercial Flights and Attacks within Beirut Governorate

● In the early hours of September 30, there were reports of an attack near the Cola area in the southern part of Beirut Governorate. Attacks have been occurring intermittently in several regions across Lebanon, causing significant damage.
● Although many commercial flights departing from the local international airport have been canceled, and it has become difficult to secure reservations, those currently staying in Lebanon are urged to ensure their safety and evacuate immediately while commercial flights are still operational.
● Please refrain from traveling to Lebanon for any reason.
● If you are already in Lebanon, exercise extreme caution and be prepared to evacuate promptly to a safe area or location in case of unforeseen circumstances. Make every effort to ensure your own safety.
● Should you come across any information about Japanese nationals being affected, please contact the Embassy immediately for assistance.

  3. A Level 4 Warning (“Evacuate. Do not travel.”) remains in effect for all of Lebanon. Please refrain from traveling to Lebanon for any reason.
  4. If you are already in Lebanon, exercise extreme caution and be prepared to evacuate promptly to a safe area or location in case of unforeseen circumstances. Make every effort to ensure your own safety.
  5. In the unfortunate event that you are affected, please report the incident to the nearest police station (ISF) and, should you come across any information about Japanese nationals being affected, kindly contact the Embassy for assistance.
