As of September 24, a tropical depression currently moving over the Caribbean Sea is forecasted to develop into a hurricane, make landfall in the northwestern part of Florida, and then continue northward, passing through Tennessee and Kentucky between Friday, September 27, and Saturday, September 28.

Due to the potential for widespread heavy rainfall, strong winds, and flooding caused by the approaching hurricane, those residing or staying in the hurricane’s projected path, or planning to stay in those areas, are advised to prepare in advance for possible power outages, water supply disruptions, road closures, and fallen trees. Ensure safety measures are in place, such as stocking up on water and food supplies, and refueling vehicles before weather conditions deteriorate.
