    • Purchase Process: The victim made a 30% deposit for a product and was informed that the remaining balance would be paid upon delivery. A supposed delivery driver claimed that a product code was needed for delivery. When the victim contacted the seller, they were told that the remaining balance must be paid to receive the product code.
    • Fraudulent Outcome: Despite initially refusing, the victim paid the remaining balance under the impression that the delivery was imminent. After providing the product code, the product never arrived, and the driver’s phone number became unreachable.
