- Details of the Incident: While a Japanese national was taking photographs of the Colón Theater with their mobile phone at the mentioned location, two men approached from behind, snatched the phone, and fled.
2. Crime Prevention Measures
- (1) Mobile phone thefts, including pickpocketing, have been frequent in the past, and with the recent increase in tourists visiting Buenos Aires, similar incidents targeting unfamiliar tourists at famous landmarks like the Colón Theater have become more common. Japanese nationals, being more noticeable in appearance, are particularly vulnerable and should exercise heightened caution.
