● On the 18th at around 7:10 AM local time, an earthquake occurred off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula. The magnitude of the earthquake is estimated to be 7.0.

● Please remain vigilant of aftershocks (seismic activity) and ensure your safety.

● If any Japanese nationals have been affected by this earthquake, please contact our embassy.

According to local reports, an earthquake occurred off the southeastern coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula on the 18th at around 7:10 AM local time (4:10 AM Japan time). The magnitude is estimated to be 7.0. Currently, the Kamchatka regional government is collecting information on any damage caused by this earthquake.
