This includes displaying fake police badges or credentials during video calls or using phone numbers of real police stations. These scams target a wide range of individuals regardless of age.
3. We urge all Japanese nationals residing here to be vigilant against such scams. If you receive a suspicious call, do not comply with the caller’s demands. If money is mentioned, hang up and consult with family, friends, or the police for advice. Please exercise caution and be cautious in such situations.
